A dusting of snow fell last night while I was away from my studio, and as I drove back up to Vermont, the pale glow of sunrise reflected a luminous, golden-pink in the shimmering white fields.  Rounding the top of my steep drive, I stopped; nearly blinded by the brilliant light, streaming through the trees. Mesmerized by the beauty, I squinted to watch as swaying, grey and white trunks and branches caught the glow from all sides; washing the forest in a bath of sublime, nude hues . . .
