Thirty in Thirty, 2014: January Wood

Outside, the temperature has dropped below zero and snowfall is no longer measured in inches, but feet. Woodland walks will require snowshoes from here on out. But with a wood stove running round-the-clock in my studio, and many cups of hot tea, I find myself feeling warm, inspired and quite content.

Today’s piece was painted alla prima, oil on wood panel.

    I’m pleased with the effect. Thank you for following and the wonderful feedback. I had the opposite sort of day today. Need to find a steady calm in something, myself! x
