Shadow Lake, 2014 – Michaela Harlow – Pastel on Cold-Press, Deckle-Edge Paper, 30″ x 22.5″

I chose to work this subtle piece on slightly larger, slightly heavier-weight paper with a smoother hand today. The long, dark lines I wanted called out for a big, beautiful piece of paper.

Autumn colors are really coming to life now. I’m working to clear my schedule so that I’ll have time to dig in.
