A quiet moment before guests arrive at the opening reception

‘Liquid Forest’ —a collection of oils and pastels inspired by Vermont woodlands and wetlands— opened at The Crowell Gallery on Thursday evening, July 9th. Thank you so much to friends and fans who stopped by to raise a glass with me at the opening reception.

It’s only been seven months since my last exhibit in Vermont, but somehow it seems like years have passed. The past six months have been both busy and rewarding. This exhibit at The Crowell is a bit of a special homecoming. Robert and Muriel Crowell donated both a gorgeous post-and-beam gallery space, and a contemporary art collection to the Moore Free Library in Newfane, Vermont. One of my older oil paintings —which includes work by Clare Adams, Eric Aho, Barbara Comfort, Janet Fish, James Florschutz, Marcy Hermansader, Wolf Kahn, Mallory Lake, Emily Mason, Jules Olitski, Susan Osgood, John Ridgway, Roger Sandes, Harry Saxman, Deidre Scherer, Johnny Swing, and James Urbaska as well as my own— is part of the permanent collection at this little jewel-box gallery in Southern Vermont.
