The weather in Vermont took a turn toward spring this week, and it’s a welcome respite from winter’s wrath. I took advantage of sunshine and 50 degree temps late this afternoon; sanding and gessoing new panels outdoors. It’s been a long time since I last enjoyed a hot cup of tea out on the terrace.

Over the past few months —with significant snowfall every few days— I’ve been spending a great deal of time on chores. Blistering cold and unsettled weather limited my winter travel far more than I’d hoped it would. I also had a bit of trouble with my furnace —now resolved— which made my studio work space nearly unusable during the month of February. There’s much catch-up work to do, but I am happy to report that I am now back in the groove.

I want to take a moment to thank friends and fans who came out —despite cold temps, icy sidewalks, monumental snow piles and spotty public transportation— to help make my first two showings in the Boston a real success. It would be a serious understatement to say that getting around Boston was a challenge this winter. In fact, it has been the winter-of-all-winters, so to speak. What a year to begin showing in a new city!

I am deeply grateful to longtime and new collectors for purchasing work and commissioning paintings this winter. Thank you so much for your support as I hit the 6 month mark in my return to a full time career in art. Here’s to growth and success in 2015!
